Didactic booklets

At the Manacor History Museum we aim to make our content accessible to audiences with diverse abilities and interests.

As a consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic throughout 2020 and 2021, we have become aware of how elderly people have felt both helpless and lonely, be it in their houses or in old people's homes.

The booklet that you now have in your hands aims to provide our elders with a series of playful activities to exercise memory, relate ideas and objects, complete words and ultimately, have fun. All the activities included in it are based on the life of the peasantry and the traditions of the countryside.

When we finished the work, we realized that this booklet is not only aimed towards elderly people but that it will also be of interest to other audiences given that its content is related to our most recent past that has since disappeared.

We have no doubt that it will be useful to many students too in that it will give them the opportunity to find out more about traditional jobs and tools that most are already unaware of.
