The museum collection began in 1926 when Father Aguiló’s heirs donated his archaeological collection to Manacor town council.
This collection was expanded in the 1960s with ethnographic donations related to farming and cooking.
Industrial equipment from workshops and factories in Manacor has been added to the collection in recent years.
The museum’s collection is divided into three main areas: the archaeological collection, the ethnographic collection and the industrial archaeology collection.
